Doon Hospitality Training Academy set up under the aegis of "Shri SPN Memorial Educational Society "aims at providing short term trade oriented professional education in the hospitality field with competent training and research. DHTA is the state of art infrastructure, located at main rajpur road, the commercial centre of the state. The pursuit of excellence in whatever we do is part of our culture. Our experience in the field of professional education gives us the proficiency to incorporate the changes in the hospitality world, we not only prepare budding professionals with a sound knowledge base but also narture them with corporate skills to be sussessful entrants in the professional world.

About the Institute

Campus is constructed in such a manner that both students and he staff find it easy to relate to, in order to gain the most from the experience. DHTA is developed in a campus area which boats of a state of art eco friendly building. Efforts are being made to cater to all, on campus needs of the students with facilities in campus itself.

Accessibility:
Nestled between the Shiwalik Hills and the Garhwal Himalayas, at 2,300 feet above sea level, Dehradun city is easily reachable with good roads and a rail terminus, not to forget the Jolly Grant Airport, 25km away. Direct flights by Air Deccan operate daily to and from New Delhi. Flying time is 45 minutes.
The Dehradun railway station celebrated its centenary year recently. It has a broad gauge link with New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata. Popular among travelers are the daytime Jan Shatabdi Express and the Shatabdi Express trains between New Delhi and Dehradun as well as the overnight ‘Mussoorie Express’. Rajdhani Express also runs between New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin (New Delhi). Dehradun is well connected with the National Capital Region, only 240km away.

Fees:
The fees structure of any stream is very minimum but the first year fee to be paid in two equal installments, first installment at the time of admission and second before the month of December. All payments are to made by demand draft in favor of Doon Hospitality Training Academy, payable at Dehra Dun.

Campus Life:

Life in the campus is interesting for the students hailing from different parts of the country. The institute offers diverse and mulity- facility co- curricular and recreational activities and encourages the students to participate in sports. Sporting facilities include soccer, cricket, volley ball, badminton etc. Annual excursions and study tours to hotels and resorts are organized to give students a change from the mundane routine as well as to enhance their knowledge.
Annual food festivals are organized where students are responsible for preparing and presenting International Cuisines in authentic style. The typical day starts with a ‘briefing’ in the morning, followed by the classes and practical. Saturdays are devoted to activities such as Quiz Competitions, presentations, which aid students to prepare for their internal and external exams.

Great emphasis is laid on overall development of the students. Saturdays are earmarked for extracurricular activities and sporting events. Inter college cricket tournament, quiz competitions, debating clubs and songs & dance competition are organize and students are encouraged to participate in them.

The institute pays special attention on training the students in good communication skills in English, Personality Development, Grooming and Training the students to conduct themselves elegantly and properly in a professional environment. We have exclusive tie up with leading institutions for enhancing communication skills at our campus for all students. There is a permanent faculty specially recruited to look into the students’ appearance, grooming, persona enhancement, communication and their conduct and behavior.

Students are taken to five star hotels, exhibitions and fairs for industrial trips so that, they can get direct exposure, a first hand feel of the industry and the various technological advancements being made.
